SWE-CI Membership Committee

The goal of the Membership Committee is to engage the current SWE-CI members to make sure they are getting the most out of their SWE membership and to communicate their desires to the executive board and committee chairs for event planning. The Membership Committee is responsible for hosting and organizing the annual Membership Banquet and Committee Mingle, maintaining the active member database, acting as a resource for current and potential members, and attending biweekly board meetings. 

You should join this committee if you want to connect with members and potential members, and help to direct the future activities of SWE-CI.

Membership Appreciation Banquet: June 22, 2022 ​

SWE-CI celebrated International Women in Engineering Day by recapping FY22 events, showcasing open committee positions, and introducing the FY23 executive board. Activities included: dinner, awards, silent auction and networking. 

​Members of the Central Indiana section were nominated for awards. Categories included: Inspiring New Face, Champion Member, Significant Supporter, and Committee Excellence.

​Milkshake & Mingle - September 30, 2021

The membership committee hosted a mingle and recruitment drive at the Gordon's Milkshake Bar. About a dozen people enjoyed milkshakes and learned about how they could get involved in SWE-CI’s upcoming events and WE21. 

Membership Appreciation Banquet - July 22, 2021

The membership committee hosted our annual Membership Appreciation Banquet at Fort Harrison State Park. Members, potential members, families and friends enjoyed tie dying and dinner while celebrating another successful year. The nomination committee announced the FY22 board and section awards.
