Funds Development & Corporate Relations (FDCR)
The goal of the Funds Development & Corporate Relations (FDCR) Committee is to create and sustain relationships with our local corporate and individual sponsors. The Committee is responsible for putting together the Annual Bowling Fundraiser, plus one other fundraiser per year, working with the Officer of External Affairs for maintaining corporate relations, attending and preparing agenda and minutes for FDCR committee meetings, and attending biweekly board meetings
You should join this committee if you want to expand professional relations with corporations and host fundraising events.

Past FDCR Events
FDCR TopGolf Event - May 19, 2019
This year SWE-CI held their first Top Golf Fundraising Event at TopGolf Fishers. The event was held on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The golfers enjoyed brunch, leisurely games, and the top players got prizes! The event was a great success and SWE-CI was able to raise money for future local events.

“Why SWE” Discussion at Carrier - April 22, 2019
SWE-CI leaders had the opportunity to present the topic “Why SWE” to the Carrier Corp. during a lunch and learn event in April. The event provided an intimate setting for SWE-CI and Carrier to connect. Carrier was able to learn more of SWE-CI’s engagement in the community and nationally. SWE-CI was able to learn more about Carrier Corp. and identify future events the two organisations could collaborate on together.
If your company would like SWE-CI to present a “Why SWE” presentation, please connect with the Director of External Affairs and FDCR Committee.

Bowling Fundraiser - February 21, 2019
SWE-CI had a spectacular turn out at our 2019 Bowling Fundraiser at Expo Bowl! We had 9 corporate sponsors and over 140+ bowlers turn out to the event. With all of the local support, SWE-CI was able to raise over $2,000 to support our scholarship endowment. SWE-CI Board and Committee members loved engaging with our local, professional engineers and corporations; and we can’t wait to host our next Bowling Fundraiser in February 2020.

Industry Roundtable - September 13, 2018
FDCR hosted SWE-CI’s Second Funds Development/Corporate Relations (FDCR) Industry Roundtable event. The purpose of the event was to provide a luncheon for our local Indianapolis leaders to discuss the similar "awkward questions" or challenges that their corporations face every day. This year, the topic of discussion was around the pay gap dilemma many corporations are currently facing. During this session, the represented leadership shared their corporation's, and personal, lessons learned. All in attendance left the Roundtable with ideas to instill best practices at their workplace, with respect to the discussion topic of the wage gap.
